The neighbourhood
The apartment is located in Garden Hills, a modern residential complex at 4 Otar Kapanadze Street in Kukia, part of Tbilisi’s wider Chughureti district. The complex consists of several low-rise buildings arranged around a landscaped and enclosed courtyard, providing a more private setting than the busier streets closer to the city centre.
Chughureti developed around David Agmashenebeli Avenue and was historically shaped by craftspeople, railway activity and the former German settlement of New Tiflis. Today, the district combines older residential streets with renovated avenues, creative spaces and newer developments.
Marjanishvili Metro Station is approximately a 16 to 18-minute walk from Otar Kapanadze Street. Local bus stops are available within a few minutes on foot, providing another option for reaching central districts.
Around the Marjanishvili area, guests can explore the pedestrian section of Agmashenebeli Avenue, Kote Marjanishvili State Drama Theatre and the surrounding restaurant streets. Fabrika, a former Soviet sewing factory converted into a creative complex, is one of Chughureti’s best-known cultural and social venues. Mushtaidi Garden and the State Silk Museum are located farther west in the district.
The immediate surroundings are primarily residential and calmer than central nightlife areas. The elevated position also allows partial city views from the complex. The courtyard includes landscaped paths, seating and a children’s playground, making the setting practical for families.
Chughureti is generally considered a safe central residential district, and the main streets and transport areas are regularly patrolled.
