The neighbourhood
The apartment is on Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue in Chughureti, one of central Tbilisi's historic left-bank districts. This part of the avenue is pedestrianised and known for restored façades, cafés, restaurants and evening activity, while the surrounding streets retain the area's older residential character.
Chughureti developed from the 19th-century Neu-Tiflis settlement and later became an important craft and industrial quarter. Today, the district mixes historic architecture with creative spaces, independent food venues and local nightlife.
Nearby places include:
Dosti, a Georgian restaurant at 17 Aghmashenebeli Avenue, about 1 minute away on foot.
Nozomi Bar at 12 Aghmashenebeli Avenue, around 2 minutes on foot.
Dedaena Park and the Mtkvari riverfront, roughly 8-10 minutes on foot.
Fabrika Tbilisi, the former sewing factory turned cultural and social hub, around 12-15 minutes on foot.
Marjanishvili Metro Station, approximately 10-12 minutes on foot.
The pedestrian avenue is active in the evenings, with outdoor seating, cafés and bars bringing people into the area. This gives the street plenty of energy but can also mean noticeable noise later in the day, so light sleepers should keep this in mind.
The central Chughureti and Marjanishvili area is generally safe, busy and regularly patrolled, and the pedestrian section remains active into the evening. It is well suited to exploring central Tbilisi on foot.
Getting around
Marjanishvili Metro Station is approximately a 10-12 minute walk from the apartment and connects directly to Tbilisi's main metro line.
Tbilisi is easy to explore using a combination of metro, city buses and taxis. Bolt is widely used for short trips around the city, while many central areas can also be reached on foot from Aghmashenebeli Avenue.
Need a ride from Tbilisi International Airport? Wehost can arrange an airport transfer directly to the apartment on request.
