The neighbourhood
The house sits on Dariali Turn, a quiet residential lane at the edge of Vake, Tbilisi's most established western district. Vake became part of the city in 1906 and has always housed the capital's diplomats, academics and political elite. Locals still call themselves "Vakelebi," a nickname worn with some pride.
The pace here runs slower than downtown Tbilisi. Wide pavements, well-kept prewar and Soviet-era buildings, embassies and international schools shape the district far more than any tourist trail does. It is the kind of neighbourhood locals choose to raise a family in, not just pass through.
Vake Park is roughly a 3-minute walk from the door, all 200 hectares of it, with cascading fountains, a WWII memorial staircase, and a cable car climbing to Turtle Lake. On the way, Donostia, a Spanish restaurant right on Dariali Turn, sits about a minute away. For Georgian cooking, Tsiskvili on Chavchavadze Avenue is around a 12-minute walk, and the avenue's café terraces and wine bars continue from there toward Abashidze Street.
Mikheil Meskhi Stadium marks the southern edge of the park.
Despite sitting minutes from one of the city's busiest parks, the street itself is calm after dark, mostly dog walkers and neighbours. It is a well-lit, well-patrolled residential pocket, one of the more family-friendly parts of Tbilisi to stay in.
Getting around
Public transportation in Tbilisi is affordable and convenient. Metro and buses cost just 1 GEL per ride and allow free transfers within an hour. You can pay directly by card. For route details and schedules, we recommend downloading the TTC app. Bus stops are located almost everywhere in the city.
No metro station sits within easy walking distance, so most guests get around Vake by bus, on foot, or with Bolt, the local ride-hailing app.
• Bus stops on Chavchavadze Avenue connect directly to the city center and Old Town.
• Bolt rides are inexpensive and widely used across Tbilisi; expect 10-15 minutes to the center by car.
• Walking is easy and pleasant within Vake itself, especially around Vake Park.
• Airport transfer can be arranged directly through us. Just let us know your flight details ahead of arrival.
What you get access to
Guests have full and private access to the entire apartment during their stay. Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you a detailed digital guidebook with everything you need to know, from using the lockbox for entry to tips on how to use the amenities.
For step-by-step entry instructions, please tap "Open your Guide" -> "Getting in" at the top of this guide and scroll down. You will find the full arrival process there, explained in order.
