The neighbourhood
Batumi View stands at the southern end of the New Boulevard, the 1,200 m seafront extension designed by Alberto Domingo Cabo and opened in 2009. The promenade and the beach start right in front of the building.
The Boulevard itself dates back to 1881, when French gardener Michel d’Alphonse laid out its first gardens. Today it runs about 7 km along the coast, lined with palms, bamboo groves and a bike lane along its full length, and it has been a national monument since 1987.
Within reach of the apartment:
Promenade and beach: 1-2 min walk
Dream Column and the Labyrinth: about 9 min walk
Eclipse Casino: about 9 min walk
Batumi Aquapark: around 25 min on foot along the Boulevard
Europe Square and Old Batumi: about 9 min by car
Ali and Nino statue: roughly 8 km north, a short taxi ride
Getting around
Batumi is a small, walkable city — most of the main sights, restaurants and the Boulevard are reachable on foot from the centre. Buses cost 70 tetri per ride and can be paid by card. For routes and schedules, we recommend downloading the Batumi Bus app. Bolt and other taxi apps are available and inexpensive. The airport is close — roughly 10-15 minutes by car, though allow extra time on busy summer days.
Getting to Batumi from Tbilisi: the overnight or daytime train takes around 5 hours and is comfortable and modern. By car the journey is around 4 hours. Buses and minibuses also run regularly.
