Alliance Privilege sits where Old Batumi meets the seafront, with the Boulevard on one side of the building and 6 May Park on the other. It is one of the few spots in the city where the historic centre, the main park and the beach are all a short walk apart.

The Boulevard was first laid out in 1881 and shaped by French gardener Michel D’Alphonse. Today it runs for roughly 7 km along the shore, lined with palm alleys, a cycling lane and a pebble beach the whole way.

The streets behind the building are residential and noticeably calmer than the New Boulevard further down the coast. In summer the seafront fills up in the evenings, while the off-season turns it into a quiet place for long walks by the water and sunsets over the sea. Small grocery shops, bakeries and pharmacies are scattered through the side streets of Old Batumi.

The area is safe and regularly patrolled, and the Boulevard stays busy with walkers and cyclists until late.

Batumi Boulevard runs directly in front of Alliance Privilege, and the pebble beach is reachable on foot in about 3 minutes.

Batumi is a small, walkable city, so most of the main sights, restaurants and the Boulevard are reachable on foot from the centre. Buses cost 70 tetri per ride and can be paid by card. For routes and schedules, we recommend downloading the Batumi Bus app. Bolt and other taxi apps are available and inexpensive. The airport is close, roughly 10-15 minutes by car, though allow extra time on busy summer days.

Getting to Batumi from Tbilisi: the overnight or daytime train takes around 5 hours and is comfortable and modern. By car the journey is around 4 hours. Buses and minibuses also run regularly.
